Domestic Abuse and impact on children for Foster Carers and Fostering Professionals

Description

With current statistics of 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experiencing domestic abuse as a victim in their lifetime it is highly likely that families who foster will be fostering children and young people who have witnessed domestic abuse.  Under the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 children are now identified as victims in their own right if witnessing abuse at home.

This course can help carers and those professionals working with foster carers to have a better understanding and to be better informed to support carers and those in their care.
